This Privacy Policy explains how RozgarApp ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the RozgarApp mobile application (the "App"). RozgarApp is a jobs, services, business directory, and marketplace platform for local communities in Pakistan. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy and to our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: When you register, we collect your name, and your phone number and/or email address used to sign in. Sign-in is handled securely through Google Firebase Authentication.
- Profile information: Any details you add to your profile, such as your display name, profile photo, and city/area.
- Content you post: Job listings, service listings, business listings, and marketplace products you create — including titles, descriptions, prices, categories, contact details you choose to share, and any photos you upload.
- Photos and images: Images you select from your device or capture with your camera to attach to posts or your profile.
Information collected automatically
- Location: With your permission, we access your device's location (approximate and/or precise) to show you nearby jobs, services, businesses, and deals, and to display how far each post is from you. You can turn location off in your device settings at any time; some nearby features may then be limited.
- Usage and device information: Basic technical information such as device type, app version, and general activity within the App, used to keep the service running reliably.
- Social connections: Lists of accounts you follow and accounts that follow you.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and let you sign in securely.
- To publish your listings and show them to other users.
- To show you relevant nearby content based on your location.
- To send you in-app notifications (for example, when someone follows you or interacts with your post).
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.
- To enforce our terms and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse.
3. How Your Information Is Shared
- With other users: Your posts and the profile information attached to them (such as your name and the contact details you choose to include) are visible to other people using the App. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a public post that you do not wish to share.
- Service providers we use:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions) — to authenticate users and store app data securely.
- Cloudinary — to host and deliver the images you upload.
- Legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
- Listings are automatically removed a set period after posting (for example, expired posts are deleted by an automated process), and their associated images are deleted from our image host.
- Notifications are automatically cleared after 7 days.
- Account data is retained while your account is active and is removed when you delete your account (see below).
5. Your Rights and Choices
- You can edit your profile information at any time within the App.
- You can control location access through your device's permission settings.
- To request access to or correction of your data, contact us using the details below.
6. Children's Privacy
RozgarApp is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including authenticated access and secured database rules, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
